The standing joke between the Healers Alicia had worked with had always been that the times of their shifts were more guidelines than something you could actually count on. Oh sure, you knew what time to show up for your shift, except when you were called in early or on your day off, but when it came time to leave it was more often that you let late than on time. You got used to it; Alicia had and she hoped that Viktor had too, though up to this point it hadn’t been a particular point of contention.

Still, she had been as quiet as humanly possible when she had slipped into bed sometime around 2 last night, after her evening shift had stretched past midnight with the effort of saving the fingers of an unfortunate witch. She hated the fact that she had disturbed his sleep, though had still smiled when he had wrapped himself around her and had gone back to sleep mere moments before she had drifted off too.

Several hours later, when light had streamed into the room, she began to wake. She didn’t hurry it, though, knowing that she had the day off and could take her time waking up. Maybe it was the sound of his breathing, or maybe she was just so attuned to his presence already, but she didn’t have to turn around to know that Viktor was in the other half of the bed. Rolling over, she draped her arm over his waist and rubbed her cheek against his chest, following it with a gentle kiss. “Mmm,” she hummed contently, snuggling close to him. “Didn’t know you’d still be here.”

Viktor knew that the only time the Babas had objected to Alicia was initially, and only due to the fact that she wasn't Bulgarian, an objection they quickly overcame when they realized that new blood added to old bloodlines could only benefit their community. Of course, it didn't hurt that they liked Alicia's kindness and beauty, either. "Babas no problem. Dey vill do vhat you like," he assured her warmly, a hint of humor in his tone.

He kept his hands loosely on her hips as she washed him, just enjoying the sensation and the closeness such a simple thing could bring. "Privacy, good, da," Viktor replied with a lazy grin that faded when Alicia made her suggestion. His expression grew serious as he nodded firmly. "Da, no more potion," he stated more firmly, emboldened by her own question that wasn't really a question. If Alicia was suggesting that, it meant she, too, was ready.
