With the magic being back, Sirius and I have Apparated to the Australia Settlement, which means that I now have power to run my datapad again. We’re both fine, just tired and in desperate need of a shower, a toothbrush and a good night’s sleep, so we’ll be staying the night here and then see if the long-distance Apparation back to Zealandia is an option tomorrow.

I don’t know if Jamie already told you this, but I’ve messaged back and forth with him a bit just now. He says he’s enjoyed spending time with you and that he thinks he wants to work with dragons once he’s done with school. Do you… happen to know how he possibly got that idea?

Anyway, I am really, truly grateful for all that you’ve done. Knowing that he was taken properly care of is what’s kept me going for the past weeks. Thank you, Charlie. I hope someday I can repay you.

Speaking of repaying you: how much do I owe you for broken appliances? I might as well get the shock now while I’m too tired to really react to it. Call it an easy blow.

Yes, I’m all right, nothing a good long shower can’t fix. I’m not alone, Sirius Black is here, we’re following the coast line and we have a Muggle weapon with us, taking as much care as we possibly can.

You truly are a gem, Charlie. Thank you so much. I’m sure Jamie will love to spend time at the Ark, though if need be he can stay at the Pedersen’s next door too, so coordinate with them. Just make sure he doesn’t have too much sugar, or you’ll have a hurricane on your hand. Keep an eye on your kitchen machinery, just because he’s no magic doesn’t mean he won’t try to disassemble them. And don’t let him lure you into answering questions you don’t want to answer. His dad was an Auror, I think some of his interrogative skills have rubbed off on him.

Please tell him I miss him.

Oh, and I have a jungle inside my house because my sofa would get wet if I moved it to the one outside. Besides, I think we established earlier that your sister’s a pretty smart witch, didn’t we?
