What in the world is going on? I can't sleep at all. All I do is pace around. Any healers have a suggestion how to fix this?

Needless to say, with all these ... activities... work certainly hasn't been boring.

Am I the only one who isn't looking forward to the full moon?

So, blokes, I'm finally doing it. I've talking to Shacklebolt and I'm going to ask Lily if she'd like to move in together. Any thoughts? Any chance you'll try and talk me out of it? Haha. No, though, seriously, I'm out of my mind with nerves. Do you remember in the other time... How I proposed and all of that? Was I this nervous? Granted, I'm not doing that now, well, or rather just yet I suppose, but I feel like I've got a chocolate frog stuck in my throat just thinking of moving in.

Not Drinking Buddy advice but You're My Only Girl Friend advice...? I'm planning to ask Lily to move in together. Anything in particular I should do to make it nice? I've not really got a romantic bone in my body, except when it comes to being crazy about her, but she really does and I want to make sure she feels... Well, loved, you know? Hope to hear from you soon, and maybe we can do a Drinking Buddy catch up session at the World's End and maybe have something to celebrate when we do.

The new wards are holding on the cargo ships. Merlin only knows it's taken long enough to get that straightened out. Our first successful test of the Floo connection to Australia went through brilliantly - granted we only sent over a small bird, but I wasn't going to risk a wizard or witch on magic I only vaguely remembered from my childhood.

I'll be back at the colony this afternoon and available for drinks at the World's End after I debrief Shacklebolt.

Remind me never to volunteer to help chaperone a group of teenagers on a school trip. They're exhausting. It doesn't help that a lot of them were taller than me, either! Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it, but it also gives me an appreciation for my security rounds.

Bloody hell I'm rubbish at keeping up with things. It's not that I lost my datapad but I more or less forgot about this journal thing. Life has been well.

Research has been coming along quite well, I've made my own notes about how I feel with and without the potion, and it's quite fascinating how the trends are. I won't bore you with too many details of that though.

Work has kept me fairly busy. Downtimes have been just as nice, unless James is trying to see if he can still outdrink me (the answer is yes. He hasn't yet had the privilege of being over 30 and a lower tolerance, at least that's what I am claiming).

That character thing, I guess you could call it, that went around was absurd. Do you realize there are no sheep whatsoever on this island? How is someone supposed to shepherd sheep without sheep? I guess that's a good reason why they were lost. They never came home, either.

Thankfully I didn't wear a dress. That would have never been lived down.

Remus awoke fairly late Monday morning wondering what on Earth had happened. He looked around his surroundings and realized that he was home. When did that happen? What day was it? He found his datapad and looked at the date. Monday the 29th. Merlin help him. The full moon had been two days ago. He had slept through Sunday?

He wasn't going to complain. He certainly felt much, much better. Now to figure out what happened. He didn't see any marks on himself. That was a good thing.

Remus decided that he needed to get up and dressed. He remembered going to an island via a jeep and a boat. That was it.

Turns out Padfoot was a bit sore after the last moon. Says it's been too long since he ran around like that, I think we need to give him a bit of practice. Next Full, of course, but until then, any ideas how we can totally use this against him? We absolutely have to.

Remus had awoke in a small crevasse under some rocks. How was it that the werewolf would always hide him? Was it just the security for it going to sleep? Either way, he was grateful and found a small mound of clothes waiting for him when he woke up, along with a blanket. He did have some good friends.

Stiffly, he got dressed in what privacy he could find. He was sore all over, especially his legs. What did he do last night? Being a werewolf was worse than going on an all night drinking binge; you never remembered what went on the night before.

He moved back into the open, trying to get his bearing of where exactly he was; sure, the island wasn't very big but how to know which direction to move in? He attempted to speak but found himself hoarse. "Hello?" he croaked out anyway. He rationalized that since the island was to the southwest of the mainland, he needed to head northeast. It would be easier if people were around.

Remus was free. Well, not Remus exactly. Whatever you would call the werewolf was free. The transformation felt rougher this time, he could feel every contortion. But once he was fully transformed, he ran. And ran. And ran some more. The werewolf was aware that he was followed by a stag and a dog; they didn't concern him at present. He was more interested in running and stretching the muscles he hadn't been allowed to stretch in a long, long time.

The werewolf ran until he reached the shore and pawed at the water. This was unexpected. He looked up at the sky and let out one long howl before taking off again. This time he took notice of the creatures and went for the stag. He was met with a full rack of antlers. Poor planning. That would hurt later. Next time, he'd go for the dog.

His gait was slowing now. He had such freedom, but he could still feel the man trying to take control. A headshake to try and get rid of the feeling.

Something moved in the brush and he was off!
