So, blokes, I'm finally doing it. I've talking to Shacklebolt and I'm going to ask Lily if she'd like to move in together. Any thoughts? Any chance you'll try and talk me out of it? Haha. No, though, seriously, I'm out of my mind with nerves. Do you remember in the other time... How I proposed and all of that? Was I this nervous? Granted, I'm not doing that now, well, or rather just yet I suppose, but I feel like I've got a chocolate frog stuck in my throat just thinking of moving in.

I've not really got a romantic bone in my body, except when it comes to being crazy about her, but she really does and I want to make sure she feels... Well, loved, you know? The new wards are holding on the cargo ships. Merlin only knows it's taken long enough to get that straightened out. Our first successful test of the Floo connection to Australia went through brilliantly - granted we only sent over a small bird, but I wasn't going to risk a wizard or witch on magic I only vaguely remembered from my childhood.

I'll be back at the colony this afternoon and available for drinks at the World's End after I debrief Shacklebolt.

With the magic being back, Sirius and I have Apparated to the Australia Settlement, which means that I now have power to run my datapad again. We’re both fine, just tired and in desperate need of a shower, a toothbrush and a good night’s sleep, so we’ll be staying the night here and then see if the long-distance Apparation back to Zealandia is an option tomorrow.

I don’t know if Jamie already told you this, but I’ve messaged back and forth with him a bit just now. He says he’s enjoyed spending time with you and that he thinks he wants to work with dragons once he’s done with school. Do you… happen to know how he possibly got that idea?

Anyway, I am really, truly grateful for all that you’ve done. Knowing that he was taken properly care of is what’s kept me going for the past weeks. Thank you, Charlie. I hope someday I can repay you.

Finally figured out how to work this bloody datapad, thanks to another person on security detail. I like to think I'm decent with Muggle technology, but this is mad.

So the past three days have been an adventure, to say the least. I've been uprooted from a different year and forced into a land with dinosaurs, discovered I have less than three years to live (or would have, at any rate), learned members of my family die, and now there's a monsoon. Brilliant. I'd ask how things could possibly get worse, but I really don't want to know.
