With the exception of my living room, I'm not minding not having magic. It's just a reminder of my childhood, really. Of course, there are some aspects that could make things interesting, but that aside, I'm enjoying myself. Does this mean I'll toss in my wand for good? I don't think so.
How's everyone else coping?

Date: 2013-04-23 11:25 pm (UTC)I grew up muggle, too, it's been a nice... break, I suppose. I've been getting a lot of reading done and am attempting to learn to cook all over again. What were your favorite games as a kid? We should ask Lisa to keep some at the Pub, even when we've got magic back.

Date: 2013-04-23 11:30 pm (UTC)Even as a little girl I loved Monopoly. Dad tried to make it educational but never succeeded too well. I learned not to invest in railroads. My sister and I enjoyed a game called "Mystery Date" but I doubt you played that. When I was older Dad bought us a game called Boggle, have you played that? In my time it really isn't that old of a game... not even 10 years. How about you?

Date: 2013-04-23 11:50 pm (UTC)I liked Monopoly, but Scrabble and Clue were my favorite. Guess it's not much of a surprise I grew up to be a crime writer? I didn't have any siblings, so mostly played with mum and dad. The kids in the neighborhood weren't much for board games.
Never really tried Boggle, think we could make something like it here?

Date: 2013-04-23 11:54 pm (UTC)I did well at Scrabble but wasn't that good at Clue. I wouldn't mind having both here. Mum and Dad played other board games with us; Dad grimaced every time we made him play Mystery Date. He'd always try and change the rules and such.
Not sure if we could make Boggle. Well... I guess we could. We'd need a bunch of dice though. I could probably do it.

Looking forward to what you come up with,
