I like working with rocks. They are a lot like people in the sense they can tell you a story if you know how to listen. This place is interesting. They tell a story of volcanoes, earthquakes and hot springs. Does anyone know where I can find those? I would like to see them. Have we had any earthquakes here since people have been here? As the geologist I should know these things.

Have you been up on Mount Tongariro or Mount Taranaki?

There's a few hot springs that are great for swimming on the east side of Tongariro. I could show you where, if you want to see them.
