With the storm rolling in, Ginny had stocked up on all the essentials at the marketplace yesterday. Her plan was to stay home and catch up on research for the work she wanted to do with Remus Lupin. She wasn't scheduled on shift for the next two days, so she could also do some more reading on Muggle techniques if she needed a change of pace.

The wind was pushing rain against her windows when she woke that morning, and Ginny went around to make sure all her windows were closed and secured before taking a shower. Since she had no plans to go out, Ginny dressed in shorts and a t-shirt, padding barefoot into the kitchen to get some cool water. A flick of her wand lit the scented candle in the living room and summoned the television control, which turned the viewing box on. Ginny scrolled through the program listing for the day, finding an old movie that she'd found since getting the viewing box - The Hunt for Red October.

Flopping on her sofa, Ginny brought up her notes and began reviewing them to refresh her memory of what she knew of werewolves. Outside, the wind was picking up speed, battering the windows with fat drops of rain and leaves from the trees around her home. She glanced up, over to the window closest, and winced. Charlie had said he was going to the pub that morning for a while and would either ride out the storm there or come home. Ginny went back to reading.

"Thank you for letting me in... and being home, for that matter. I knew I should have sent a message before I came, so I apologize for just showing up," Remus said, taking off his jacket and putting it on the hook. He put a drying spell on his coat - it didn't do so well in this weather - before proceeding to dry himself. However, his datapad was nice and dry in its bag.

"How are you?" he asked, finally taking in her appearance. Perhaps he should have sent a message prior to coming.

"Tea sounds wonderful," Remus said. The drying spell may have made him dry but it did nothing to take the chill out of his bones. "Can I help you with anything?" He hated just showing up unannounced followed by not doing anything while he was there.

Remus set his bag by the couch, before taking a seat. He was ready to help though.

He nodded, "I've been told I'm a decent cook. I prefer simple stuff when I cook for myself. I'll leave it here, it's your home. You don't want me touching it anyways. I wouldn't know where to start," he said chuckling. He didn't have one of those in his home. They were still a foreign muggle concept.

"How has work been? You mentioned it was busy..." He, too, was quite comfortable around her. There were times when the 12 year old Ginny came into his mind, but that was just how he last knew her. He knew the adult Ginny was different to some degree.

Remus shook his head, "No, I wasn't affected. I don't know why. I hadn't been here that long when it occurred. Whatever reason it was, I'm thankful for it. I'm sorry you got affected. I imagine the medical center must have been crazy."

Remus got quiet for a moment, "I saw some of the effects in the marketplace. Was a lot of your friends and family affected?"
