She waved as she passed the current gave of Living Chess, gripping her broom tightly as she jogged over to whisper a tip in the ear of the young girl playing the Knight. Her game this morning had gone great, though they'd played against a local team from Three, and not any that had the professionals in them. She'd caught the Snitch though and that's what had her grinning from ear to ear as she went looking for the coffee stand, remembering what Alicia had said. If Flint reverted back to his vile attitude with her, she's cure herself of these lingering thoughts.

There were two very lively volleyball games going on at this end of the beach but Ginny could see at least two more at the far end and what looked like a game of cricket, too. She passed a juggler entertaining a group of young children and stopped at one of the beer stands to ask directions. Now heading in the right direction, Ginny knew she was in the right place when she saw Viktor and his teammates had transfigured some rocks into chairs. He lifted a hand to her and she returned the wave with a smile but didn't go over, heading instead to the coffee stand, checking the time as she did.

James laughed, "And you think I would care?" He shook his head and kissed her again, familiar this time, quick, and then pulled back, turning them back toward the festival, "So, can this be our first date? What do you want to do first? Living chess? Football? Wanna kick my arse on the quidditch field?" He bit his bottom lip in excitement, a date with Lily, this seemed just right.

She nodded, smiling broadly. "Our first date. I like it." She had no idea where to go. "I can't fly and play Quidditch at the same time. Either I fly or I play Quidditch... on the ground." She said with a silly grin. "I can watch you play. You were fairly decent at school."

"Fairly decent?" He put on a mock hurt look, clutching his chest, and then slung an around her.

Directing them toward the makeshift quidditch field, dodging running children and smooching couples alike. "How about we grab an ice cream and watch the match? I'd rather sit with you than play," he shocked himself with the statement and so laughed, "Never thought I'd say that, but it's true," he nodded and flagged down an ice cream vendor.

She couldn't believe he'd say that either. "Ice cream sounds good." Although she had to admit it wasn't going to help her lose those last few pounds. She had done so well lately with slimming up. "Sirius is either going to pass out at seeing us, or hug us. Or both. He is unpredictable. And then we'll know for sure the Sirius we remember has come back."

"And he'll probably slug me at some point, too?" He thought out loud. "Oh, he's back alright," he laughed.

"What would you like?" He asked, giving the vendor their orders and making their way through the crowd to find a seat on the grass. He happened to catch the eye of the coworker who had tried to date Lily and tightened his grip around her, winking at the pale wizard as they passed him.

"How's here? I hear some of the pro players from 2002 back in London are playing. Should make for a good show?" He sat down and patted the grass to invite her to do the same next to him.

When Lily saw the guy she went out with, she moved closer to James, just for safety's sake. She did not like that man whatsoever. She tried to repress a shiver but failed slightly.

Lily felt much better when they made it to their spot and sat next to him. "Thank you for the day and the ice cream, James. I know Ginny Weasley had played yesterday, I don't know if she was going to today."

"This being our first date and all," he looked to her with sarcasm in his eyes, "You've got to tell me what the deal with that guy was, he's so slimy!" Ok, so maybe James was jealous and that was colouring his opinion of the bloke, but still, the way the guy shrank away from he and Lily now made him wonder.

James thought for a moment, "Ginny Weasley... I assume one of Arthur and Molly's? I hate to admit it but I haven't met many people here yet... Had my head wrapped up in you and Sirius and work, well, except maybe Lisa," he remembered the girl at the pub well, mostly because she never let his glass go dry.

"He asked me out. I thought it was innocent, you know? He wanted to move faster than I did, so I left him and said don't ask me again. He then took up to showing up whereever I was. He never showed up at my house, thankfully. I told Sirius about him and I guess Sirius scared him pretty bad. I know he scared me." Lily said in nearly all one breath.

Lily was quick to change the subject. "Arthur and Molly ended up with 7 kids. Ginny is their youngest. Molly and I get together every so often. One of their sons was killed when Harry killed Voldemort."
