Who: Bill and Fleur Weasley
When: Early afternoon-ish, 23 February 2002
What: Talking after the love potion chaos
Where: Their place
Warnings/Rating: TBD
Her thoughts were like wisps of smoke, raising in the air until they vanished without a trace; you knew they where there but you could not prove it after that quick evanescent second had passed. Their meanings resonating loudly in her head but yet, her brain did not want to process them. Choice or no choice it still hurt and a part of her wished she could take it back. Wished she could set the clock back to before but that was like saying the sun would rise in the west instead of the east, impossible. She hated that someone else had made her into something she had never wanted to be. With a sigh she reached up and wiped the breath induced fog off the cool window pane and went back to watching the rain fall. She couldn't remember the last time they had a rainy day.
Unlike her tangled thoughts the bedroom around her was quiet and comforting much like her husband's t-shirt Fleur had on. The cotton was soft against her skin and more importantly it smelled like Bill; it smelled like a crisp spring day where it was just warm enough without being too hot, where puffy white clouds lazied about in a blue sky and the wind held all the promises of a perfect day. It smelled like security and warmth. It smelled like home. It reminded her that if Bill was there it would be alright. He had always been her guiding star, if she could find him, she could find herself. She only wished he was home now.
Fleur sensed his presence long before she heard him. By now she swore it was a sixth sense and that even if she was deaf and blindfolded she would be able to tell when they were in the same room together. "Bill," her voice was soft as she turned to look at him properly. In that moment it was so brilliantly obvious to her the difference between true love and a love potion induced feeling of affection. It was more than stunning good looks which Bill had in spades. It was the flutter in her stomach, the swell of emotion that reached down to her core, it was both the tender and passionate touches, it was a wealth of shared memories and moments... It was how how just by standing there he made her complete.
"I love you mon trésor," she told him even though he already knew as she moved to him wanting nothing more than to be swept up into his embrace. It still amazed her how perfectly their bodies seemed to fit together. Fleur pressed her lips to Bill's own claiming them in a kiss and that was how it was supposed to be. He was supposed to be there with her. Sure they needed to talk about love potions and the past week but it could wait a moment longer.

Date: 2013-02-23 02:53 pm (UTC)He had awoken just after noon, by his assistant who was very insistent that he drank the offered bottle of water. At first he had been annoyed, finally accepting the bottle just to get the pesky man off his back, and then his world had begun changing. Everything came back to him, Hestia, Fleur and how he had treated both of them. Rubbing his eyes and feeling slightly overwhelmed at the prospect of having to deal with this, he had found his datapad shoved under his nose, and with that one message, every piece of the puzzle had fallen back into place. Everything made sense, though he was still furious about what had happened.
He needed to talk to both Fleur and Hestia, though Fleur had to be first. He could send a message to Hestia, but Fleur he needed to talk to face to face. A small smile appeared when he recognized the feeling of truly missing her, like when they had been apart if he had travelled for work or the months when he had been here alone. Before he left the office, he had sent a quick message to Hestia and given his assistant orders to get the mind Healers and psychiatrist to rework their psych evaluations of potential threats in the settlements.
Back home again, he breathed in deeply, savouring the smell of home. He hadn’t been there since he had left last Monday morning. Fleur was here, though, he knew that without a doubt, and unerringly he went to their bedroom, with no other reason than he could sense her being there.
A sense of relief washed through him when he saw her, and he felt as if all the pieces that were missing in him settled back into place, completing him. “I know,” he told her, when she told her she loved him, moments before he wrapped his arms around her and returned her kiss. It was one of the few absolute truths he knew, and a truth he never doubted. “Gods, I’ve missed you, babe,” he whispered as he buried his face in her neck, inhaling her scent. No, he hadn’t missed her this week, at least not on a level where he had noticed it, his mind having been clouded by the potion, but from the moment the antidote had entered his system, he had longed for one thing only: his wife. “I love you so bloody much.”

Date: 2013-02-23 03:24 pm (UTC)And yet they were still there, together. "I am sorry Bill." This time when she kissed him there was a bit of an apology in it. Of course she didn't have to apologize, Bill would understand, but she still felt like she should. A frown worked its way to her face as she nuzzled in closer resting her head on his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heart, her grip upon him never lessening.
Even if the feelings weren't there the memories were still there. Memories of cuddling even snogging Viktor and what felt so right then felt so wrong now. Fleur wasn't sure how people consciously committed such acts and then went home to the one person they were supposed to be be with. She was lucky that she had a husband such as Bill. Someone that was flawed but perfect for her.
"I love you endlessly," she told him again pressing light kisses to his jaw and neckline. It was something she couldn't tell him enough. "Love potion or not, I still hate it Bill. I still hate how I feel right now." Fleur admitted this to him because she knew Bill would understand and because it felt like a relief to get it off her chest.

Date: 2013-02-23 04:37 pm (UTC)“You were forced to act in a way that goes against everything you believe in,” he mused aloud, “dictated how to think about another person. Of course you hated it. Nobody tells you what to do or how to do it.” That last sentiment made him smile, because that was the essence of it all; neither of them dealt well with being told what to do. “I hate it too,” he admitted. “That someone would do something to make you feel like that.” Reaching down, he found her left hand, lifting it to up to press a kiss to her knuckles, just above her weddingband. Even though he didn’t blame her for anything that might have happened during the week, it was a relief to see that she was still wearing it. Lacing his fingers through hers, he turned their hands so she could see, that his ring was still there as well; he hadn’t even considered taking it off during the past week.

Date: 2013-02-23 07:00 pm (UTC)At the sight of his wedding band she couldn't help but smile, her hand still braided with his own. "I suppose I finally know how it feels to be on this side of the equation," she muses out loud. Fleur wasn't sure she ever told him about the time she had laced Beauxbatons' water with Amortentia. "Does not feel too good. Rather embarrassing at that," an embarrassed blush worked its way to her cheeks and blossomed there. "It was un peu... Pathetic." Was the best way she could think to describe it. Describe the way she had followed Viktor around like a lovesick puppy.
Fleur snuggled closer and kissed at the delicate skin on his neck for a moment savoring the scent of him and the sweet taste of his skin against her lips. "I know you mon amour, despite the love potion, we had some restraint." It wasn't an image she wanted to put in his head anymore than she wanted to picture Bill's affection shared with anyone else, but Fleur figured it was better than wondering. Sometimes what you thought of in your head was worse than the truth. "It never went too far." She told him this because she loved him and because she didn't want there to be secrets between them a sooner they were honest the sooner they could put it behind them.

Date: 2013-02-23 08:39 pm (UTC)Sobering slightly, he caressed her fingers while he listened to her. He didn’t blame her, but it still was a relief to hear that things didn’t go very far for her. “I worked most of the time, and when I wasn’t working it was because I’d crashed in my office,” he admitted with a slightly embarrassed shrug. “Needless to say it didn’t go very far for me either.” Licking his lips, he went quiet for a long moment, weighing the question of whether or not he could ask the question that was pressing on his mind. If he didn’t, he was afraid it would stick, and they wouldn’t be able to fully put this to rest, even if he didn’t blame her for anything and didn’t feel there was any forgiveness either of them should give. “Who was it?” he asked gently, tilting her face up to look at him. “You know I don’t blame you anything, but… I’d just like to know, so I won’t keep wondering.”

Date: 2013-02-23 09:49 pm (UTC)She ran the pad of her thumb over the back of his hand in contemplation as she looked into the vast blue ocean of Bill's eyes. "It was Viktor." She told him softly. The thought made her grin shyly just because it had been such a close friend of hers, one she had never considered in that way. "He had me drinking tea..." Fleur made a face. It was one British habit she knew she would never pick up and would only drink under a love potion. It didn't matter how it was served she hated it and never felt the need to drink or do something to impress whoever she was dating.
"What about you love?" She had to ask so she wasn't wondering either, her blue eyes still focused on Bill's own.

Date: 2013-02-24 08:55 am (UTC)Hearing Viktor’s name, Bill stopped nuzzling her almost immediately. The smile on his face grew more amused than it had before, and even more so when he heard what Viktor had done to her. “Viktor?” he chuckled, almost bordering on regular laughter. It wasn’t that he disrespected or thought little of their Bulgarian friend, quite the contrary, but I anyone knew how fierce Fleur could be and how devoted she was to her marriage, it was Viktor. And for him to have had Fleur drinking tea was, in itself, hilarious to Bill. “And you drank tea for him?” This time he couldn’t keep the laughter at bay. “I’m sorry, babe, but that is priceless.” Smiling warmly at him, he sobered a little, as he pressed a gentle kiss to her lips. “If it had to be anybody, I’m glad it was him.”
He brushed her hair back, thinking of how to best tell her who he had been with this week. Yes, it was only one name he had to give her, but given Hestia’s history, it implicated so much more in order to tell it, without it coming as a shock to her. “How much…” he started, pausing for a moment, before he decided that yes, this was the right path to take. “How much have you heard about the most recent unauthorized portal arrivals.” The look on her face was answer enough for him to know that she wasn’t aware that Hestia had come through. Bill licked his lips, a small smile playing on them, because no matter what had happened, one of his oldest friends being back was a good thing. “Hestia came through the portal last Saturday, only I was working on that ward problem in Three, remember?” He nodded, because he was sure Fleur remembered that. His wife had a tendency of noticing when he spent too much time working. “I finally saw the message from Kingsley on Monday morning, and I went to see her…” He paused for a moment, letting that sink in, knowing she was far beyond smart enough to piece those things together. “She says ‘hi’, and that she would love to explain things to you later if it’s needed, otherwise, she’d just like to see you again.”

Date: 2013-02-24 01:33 pm (UTC)Fleur shifted her body, angling it further into Bill's, resting her forehead against his as he combed his fingers gently through her hair. At his words an expression of confusion settled on her back before giving away to clarity. Hestia. She hasn't heard of her arrival and considering recent events maybe she should hate her a bit but she couldn't. It had to be confusing especially if she knew what the rest of her story that they knew so well. Fleur was happy her husband could have one of his oldest friends back. "I would like to see her too," was all she could manage in response. When she did see her she would try not to picture her with her husband though she knew she would. Fleur didn't blame her but it was still going to take some time.
Easing a bit from Bill's right embrace Fleur ran her hand slowly across the smooth planes of his chest the fabric of his shirt bunching under her caress. Once at the hem she slipped her hand undernear allowing herself to explore the expanse of smooth warm skin. "I love you," she purred softly in his ear as she gently raked her fingers through his now short hair. Talking had made her feel better it still left her feeling a little insecure and insecure was a feeling she hated. It wasn't one she dealt with often.
Slipping from his embrace Fleur slid from the chair pausing a moment to pull back down the t-shirt she was wearing, before reaching for Bill's hands. For someone so petite she was rather strong and it only took a little but of help from him before she had him out of the chair as well. "I am glad Hestia is back. Just like I am glad this is all over. Even if it still confusing and rather inconvenient," she told him as she led him over to their bed. She wasn't trying to seduce him per se but she did want to be closer, have more contact with him and it was harder to do sitting in a chair. As she laid back on the bed, tugging Bill gently with her, Fleur's eyes never left Bill's own.

Date: 2013-02-25 03:33 pm (UTC)He was quiet while he watched the emotions play across his wife’s beautiful face. He wasn’t going to tell her how to feel or to just accept the fact that he had spent five days hopelessly devoted to a female friend from his past hands down, though he did hope that she would be understanding about it. Hearing her reply he nodded, accepting that answer, though sensing that she needed a bit more time before it was completely accepted. “I’ll let her know, or you can send her a message when you’re ready,” he said simply, his simple statement turning into a playful growl, when Fleur’s hands slipped up under his shirt.
Without hesitation he followed her to the bed, where he crawled up over her body pressing nipping, teasing kisses along the way, to her ankle, her calf, her thigh, until he lowered himself down on top of her. He supported his weight on his elbows to keep it off her, as he looked down into her amazingly blue eyes. “Have I told you how much I love it when you wear my shirt?”

Date: 2013-02-25 05:24 pm (UTC)Fleur couldn't help but laugh softly at the feel of his kisses on her skin. They tickled slightly. Any thoughts of the past week evaporating with each kiss. "Non, Mr. Weasley, you have," she told him in light teasing though she already knew. She could tell by the way he looked at her on the occasion she did wear his shirts.
Her touch was soft as she ran her fingers tenderly through his hair while she gazed back into Bill's perfect blue eyes. Her other hand traced lightly over his back coming to rest on the small of his back. The light weight of his body pressed against her own was comforting and intoxicating until the point were she could hardly remember her own name or to breathe.

Date: 2013-02-27 04:05 pm (UTC)“I love it when you wear my shirt,” Bill grinned against her lips, his hand skimming down her side to her naked thigh as he sealed his lips over hers in a deep, passionate kiss. It had been nearly a week since he had been with his wife, and though he hadn’t been aware of it, his body was making sure he was very aware of it now. Somewhere, outside of this house, there was work to be done, but until tomorrow morning, Bill wasn’t going to worry about that.

Date: 2013-02-27 09:11 pm (UTC)"But that's not today," she assured him her thoughts shifting to the light path his hand was making down her body. Then his lips were on her own and all other thoughts parished in its wake other than her own desire to deepen the kiss, if possible, as she arched her back, pressing her body closer to his own.
What was it that made them them? Fleur wasn't sure. It was more than the tender and passionate touches, more than the shared memories, more than a joined future... It was indescribable. But in that moment she could feel it and it was enough. Just like it would take something stronger than a love potion to tear it asunder and they had all day to get lost in that connection.
