Setting: The Command Center

Status: Open: Private, Complete
The morning had been hectic when Alicia had awoken to find that she had overslept by more than an hour. She had pulled on the closest set of clothes, barely kissed Viktor goodbye and instantly Apparated to the med center. Thankfully, there was a calm about the med center this morning, and she had had no problems being allowed to take a quick shower before she began attending patients.
The shower had worked wonders and the serenity that had been present in the building had now settled firmly in her too. She pulled on her scrubs with a gentle smile and a wonderful fluttering in her tummy, humming a gentle tune that she couldn’t recall the name of. It wasn’t important anyway. What was important was the lovely people who needed her help, and when she pulled up her schedule she nearly jumped with joy that she was going to the Command Center for Kingsley Shacklebolt’s annual checkup. Clutching the datapad to her chest, she sighed dreamily: Shacklebolt was so incredibly amazing, and she had just longed for the chance to get to meet him.
Right now, however, she needed to be his Healer, to make sure that he wasn’t sick and that he was getting all the rest and supplements he needed to remain his own perfect self and the brilliant leader of their settlements. Checking the assignment as ‘In Progress’, she grabbed a fresh bottle of water and her Healer’s bag, Apparated to the Command Center, and simply showed her ID card, before she was lead up to his office.
“Minister Shacklebolt?” she said as she knocked on the door frame, trying as hard as she possibly could to keep from sighing at the sound of his name. “It’s time for your checkup.”

Date: 2013-02-19 04:47 pm (UTC)One thing had been strange that morning. Toby was going around the Command Center dreamily praising one of the security guards. Kingsley didn't know what to make of it. The last he'd known, Toby was dating one of the Healer blokes. But that thought was quickly replaced by another when he saw on his schedule that Healer Spinnet was coming to give his annual exam. Alicia! She was so smart, so insightful, so pretty.
He was jolted out of his thoughts when a knock came at his doorway and he scrambled to his feet so quickly that several parchments and pens went flying from his desk, scattering all over the place as he stumbled from behind the desk. "Healer Spinnet," Kingsley said, sighing as well. "Checkup, right. Yes, of course. Anything. Anything at all, I'm, um, happy to, um, cooperate."

Date: 2013-02-19 09:52 pm (UTC)Careful not to drop her load of parchments, she got back up on her feet. Standing in front of Kingsley, her gaze travelled up long legs, the bulge at the front of his trousers, his flat abdomen – which she could imagine as being rockhard – over his chest, rising and falling with each breath he took and up to his eyes. “Wh-where would you like me to put these..?” she breathed, feeling herself getting lost in those amazing, dark brown eyes. Eyes that despite their mystique and guarded gaze exuded a calm that made her feel warm all over and her breathing grow deeper.
How was it possible that she had only met this marvelous man once before, when looking at him, she knew how exactly perfect he was for her, and how happy she could make him, if only he would let her stay near her? He was obviously a smart and wise man, who not only was capable of being first the Minister for Magic and now the leader of the entire population in this new world, but also had the looks and charms worthy of a god. One day, if they were lucky, these settlements would be adorned with statues of him, like ancient Rome had been with statues of their gods. Alicia was certain of it. “…Minister Shacklebolt..?”

He couldn't help but drop his gaze to her chest that was rising and falling so much, his body reaching to that and the incredibly breathy sound of her voice. "Please, call me Kingsley. And, um, let me," he said finally, his heart racing as he tried to scoop the parchments out of her grasp, the back of his hands brushing against those lovely breasts as he did and he almost fumbled the entire pile just then.
He managed to dump the pile onto his desk and then lean one hand on the edge, smiling at her in a slightly dopy fashion. "Where do you, um, want me? For the exam, I mean," Kingsley asked, trying not to seem overeager but damn, she was a fine woman.

Date: 2013-02-20 05:01 pm (UTC)It felt as if an electric current jolted through her body when his long, elegant fingers brushed innocently against her breast. It made her gasp, shivering slightly at the thought of what it would feel like to have him touch her on purpose rather than simply by accident. But then he smiled at her, and she felt herself melt at the sight of him leaning so casually against the desk, looking at her like that
“Oh, you’re perfect,” she sighed, then blinked, “I mean, it’s perfect right there. Actually, anywhere you’re comfortable. The more comfortable the better,” she babbled.

Date: 2013-02-21 04:11 am (UTC)"How's this? Is this okay? I can lay down if you need me to, just say the word," he asked, his gaze flickering down the line of her body, distracting him from his words. Merlin, but she was a vision. He wanted everything to be perfect for her. "Do you need me to take off my shirt? I think they had me do that for the last exam."

Date: 2013-02-21 02:33 pm (UTC)There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for this man, and the fact that she had been given the privilege of ensuring that he was in good health was what drew her from her reverie of how soft his lips had to be and how lovely they would feel against her skin. She couldn’t give him his exam just by looking at him, so she managed to get her datapad fumbled around and turned towards him. “I just need your thumbprint scan before we start, then you can take off your clothes and lay down on the sofa, though I’m sure your health is as perfect and wonderful as you are.”

Date: 2013-02-21 10:52 pm (UTC)Alicia held out her datapad and Kingsley leaned forward quickly, his gaze on her and not the datapad so it beeped oddly, just enough to get his attention. Correcting where he was putting his thumb, he smiled broadly. "It can't possibly be as perfect and wonderful as you are, Healer Spinnet. I'm so lucky that you took pity on me today."

Date: 2013-02-22 03:04 pm (UTC)The odd beep from her datapad drew her attention back to the matter at hand. His smile at her – Merlin’s pants! He smiled! At her! – made her insides melt completely, and she was certain that a few more moments of that smile would leave her a puddle of goo on the floor. A small, thrilled whimper escaped her when he called her perfect and wonderful, and she raised her gaze from his chest to meet his eyes. “Alicia,” she whispered, then cleared her throat. “Please, call me Alicia. Just so you know, I don’t pity anyone, especially someone as strong as you.”
As his medical record appeared on her datapad, she gestured for him to take a seat on the sofa. “If you’d lay down, please, and relax, Kingsley,” she said dreamily, “then I can measure your blood pressure last.” Perching on the edge of the sofa, his body against her hip felt scorching. “But I think I’ll start with your heart. Have you felt any discomfort at all since your last visit with a Healer?” she asked him, taking his hand and in a gentle caress slid her fingers down to the pulse point on his wrist, counting his strong pulse against the sensitive tips of her fingers, while keeping an eye on her watch.

Date: 2013-02-23 03:29 am (UTC)He sat as quickly as he could, almost missing the seat since he couldn't take his eyes off of her. She was so graceful and elegant while he was a fumbling buffoon. Kingsley settled back on the sofa, his legs hanging over the end of the short expanse but he lay still for her, not wanting to do anything to disappoint her. He bit back a loud sigh when her delicate, soft fingertips stroked his wrist. "No, no discomfort at all, Alicia," he answered honestly. He was quite sure his heart was racing right now but it had nothing to do with his normal health and everything to do with her proximity.

Date: 2013-02-23 02:18 pm (UTC)She had just finished counting the beats in the 15 second interval when he said her name again, making her mind go delightfully mushy at the sound of his voice. There had been no discomfort, which was good. No, it was better than good, it was perfect and just the way it should be. Alicia looked down at her datapad where the cursor was blinking in the field marked ‘HR’. “Heart rate,” she murmured, frowning slightly to recall the number she had reached. It had been in the high end of normal, that much she remembered, so she typed in the approximate number that fit an observation like that. “I’m not surprised,” she smiled at him, nearly losing herself in watching his lips, slightly parted, and listening to the sound of him breathing. “You’re a strong man. Healthy. And very fit.”
Clearing her throat, she pulled the sphygmomanometer from her bag, and fastened the cuff around his upper arm. Try as she might, she couldn’t help but let her fingers trace over the bulging muscles under that perfectly smooth, brown skin. “Amazing,” she breathed, then placed the stethoscope under the edge of the cuff and began inflating it until the sound of blood flowing through his vein stopped. Little by little she let the cuff deflate, until she once again heard his blood, a sound that made her smile and note the number on the sphygmomanometer. “Excellent,” she beamed at him, noting on her datapad that his ‘blood flows with the rhythm of his heart’ in the field marked ‘BP’. “Now I just need to listen to your heart and lungs, but everything points to you being in perfect health.”

Date: 2013-02-23 09:54 pm (UTC)Then she was sliding her fingers over his bicep, sending shivers of pleasure down his spine. He could easily imagine those fingers dancing across his skin, exploring his body as he explored hers, as he just knew it would the most incredible touch he'd ever felt. "Heart and lungs," he repeated dreamily, thinking of her warm hands on his chest. "Anything you need, Alicia. Anything at all, I'm at your service, of course."
"Excuse me, Minister," came a voice from the doorway of his office and Kingsley bit back a growl to see a group of Settlement Two security personnel just beyond the first man. "There's no one downstairs for the security reports," the man continued neutrally.

Date: 2013-02-24 09:19 am (UTC)She sighed deeply, disappointed, that someone else demanded Kingsley’s time, but he was a man with many responsibilities and she could stand in the way of those, especially since it would reflect poorly back on him. Alicia looked from the man in the door to Kingsley’s dreamingly brown eyes, and she allowed herself to get lost in them for a moment. “I can stay and wait for you,” she offered first, “or I can come back as soon as you’re done. Whatever is best for you, Kingsley.”

Date: 2013-02-25 08:11 pm (UTC)"I don't know how long I'll be, my dear. It would be unforgivable of me to detain you. I'll message you as soon as I can," Kingsley told her firmly. It would be best if she returned to work, rather than sit here bored for hours and hours. That was not the way to treat such a wonderful, smart woman as Alicia. "Thomas here will escort you back to the Medical center to make sure you are safe," he told her warmly.

Date: 2013-02-27 03:35 pm (UTC)“Be careful, love,” she urged him, and reached out to give his big, warm hand a loving squeeze, before she followed Thomas out of the room. Alicia was tempted to tell Thomas that he didn’t have to escort her back to the Med Centre, but thinking that that would diminish Kingley’s order, she let him. With a deep sigh, she stepped through the door, checking her datapad for her next patient, though her thoughts kept circling around the wonderfulness that was Kingsley Shacklebolt.
