Characters: Viktor Krum, Fleur Delacour-Weasley
Setting: The World's End Tavern
Content: G
Status: Public : Open
With Alicia taking the overnight shift at the medical center to help a co-worker, Viktor rose early and did his run with enough time to take a quick shower and change into jeans and a t-shirt. He paused after stepping out of his front door, tapping out a quick message to Alicia before heading over to the settlement pub. There was talk that they were building two more pubs and nightclubs already and, on Charlie's suggestion, he had spoken to Zograf's and Levski's баба about managing one of the pubs with Bulgarian fares.
It was a pleasant morning and Viktor arrived in the market center to find it crowded with people stocking up for their day. He made his way over to the pub and chose a table on the deck, ordering a pot of local coffee and another of tea for two along with some toasted bread. There were a few others on the deck as well, enjoying the sunny day and good weather, though Viktor was glad for the overhanging above the deck as he would not want Fleur made uncomfortable by a sudden downpour. He checked his datapad and saw that he still had a minute or two before their agreed-upon meeting time so he settled back in his chair.

"How are you?" Fleur asked him with yet another smile.

He scooped a teaspoon of sugar into one mug and sighed. "My parent, dey vere murdered, day after de Dark Lord fall. Rogue Death Eater." He paused again. "I come vith team, und der family. Many family."

Date: 2012-12-13 06:19 am (UTC)"I'm sorry Viktor." Fleur wasn't sure that was the right thing to say but she didn't know what else to say. It saddened her that she didn't hear about it but she hadn't heard about a lot of things. She had spent a lot of time helping Bill deal with the loss of his brother. "I am glad you have family here though. It helps." She couldn't imagine being without her's.
"What do you do here?"

Date: 2012-12-16 11:14 pm (UTC)"Dank you," he replied solemnly. Viktor was stoic when it came to the loss of his family, the only justice being that the responsible Death Eater had been killed in a duel with Hit Wizards. He nodded and smiled warmly.
Without thinking, Viktor glanced in the general direction of where the Ark lay far on the other side of the island. "I vork vith animal in Ark. I train now, learn of each. I still play Quidditch - ve start games last month, for enjoyment of people but dis no all I do know."

Date: 2012-12-17 09:06 pm (UTC)"Animals?" She wasn't sure why but it wasn't what she pictured him doing or maybe it was just because they didn't get to talk about that part of their lives much during the tournament. "Sounds like we have similar jobs I just work with plants instead of animals. Feels like I will be learning forever the names of the new ones."
"I am glad to hear you are still playing though. I would like to come and watch you play sometime." There was no chance she would ever learn to play or what to learn. Fleur still hated flying despite Bill's many attempts to help her conquer her fear.

"Ve play every Saturday, at pitch ground near lake. You most velcome. Vhen more team, dey come, ve vill haff more team for play," Viktor encouraged her happily, pausing to take a drink of his coffee. "How you find home? You enjoy new home vith Bill?"
