Adrian could hardly contain himself as he waited for Ginny to join him at the pub. He had awoken late last night to a knock on his duplex's door, and figuring it was something to do with business he'd quickly thrown on shorts and a t-shirt before answering the front door. And there they stood. His parents, looking annoyed and normal, and his sister looking very tired and incredibly pregnant and Will, beaming at him like they'd all just won the lottery. And really, they had.

The hugs and catching up and chattering late into the night was out of character for all of them, but they had done it anyway and so he now sat at the pub with a strong cup of tea in front of him, waiting for his new friend to join him for lunch and a social flight while family was dealing with moving into their duplex just down the street from him (his parents on one side, his sister, Will, and the eventual baby on the other) and learning the ropes from their datapads and Ministry employees.

Hardly able to stay in his seat he sipped his tea and bit his bottom lip, sure that his eyes were sparkling like some ridiculous cartoon puppy with a new toy.

She'd spent the morning working in her garden, only breaking for a trip to the market for some supplies to make some bread which she got going before returning to the garden for more weeding. The wonderful climate here also made everything grow faster, including the weeds so doing that was a weekly chore that was necessary to keep them from strangling out her vegetables. It was only when her datapad beeped a reminder that Ginny headed inside to take a shower and change. She pulled on a white sundress and checked her reflection before heading out the door.

It was a short apparation to get near the pub so Ginny appeared on the path a few feet from the new establishment with a few minutes to spare to meet up with Adrian. Dashing up the stairs, she could see he wasn't on the deck so she stepped inside, a quick glance around finding him at a table off to the side and she flashed a big smile as she came up to where he was sitting. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting long," she apologized, realizing she'd probably spent too long in the shower.

She was happy to return his hug since, one - he was gorgeous, and two - he looked so very happy. "Portal? No, I haven't spoken to Hermione in a couple of days," she exclaimed.

Blushing lightly, Ginny took the offered seat and nodded. "Oh, yes, tea will be grand."

"They... your family?! Oh, sweet Merlin, Adrian, that's amazing news!" Ginny declared, getting up from her chair immediately to circle around and give him another hug.

"Oh, Adrian, I'm just so, so happy for you," Ginny declared firmly, giving one more squeeze of his shoulders before drawing back, only to be surprised by a warm kiss on her cheek.

She felt her cheeks warm but she gestured dismissively as she returned to her seat opposite. "Nothing to be sorry for, silly," Gin added, not putting anything behind it given his euphoria over his family joining him. "They shouldn't feel badly about it. I hear lots of stories like yours at the Med Center. The Muggle governments are telling people that its just a temporary change."

"She'll be in a race then - there's a witch who is expecting any day now. Please have her come into the Med Center for a check-up so they can start tracking her in case of an emergency," she pointed out as the bar server came over. Ginny ordered a pot of tea to share and a small plate of chips.

"It's great that they were assigned housing so close to you. My folks are on the other side of One - though that's plenty close enough for me. I think I'd die if my Mum was in visual distance of my place. It's enough that I've got Charlie next door," Ginny said happily. "Don't get me wrong, I love being so close to Charlie. He moved out when I was pretty young so we didn't see a lot of each other before coming here."

She noticed the drop in his expression as she had been taking her seat but Ginny didn't know what to make of that. The hug and his light kiss had been friendly but not out of the ordinary for her. Nothing she would consider as being forward or a pass.

"Just the chips for me," she answered with a quick smile. "You couldn't have gotten much sleep last night. Are you sure you're up for flying?"

"Well, we can fly anywhere once we leave the settlement but there's a spot over by the lake that folks have been playing set-up Quidditch games at," Ginny replied.

The food smelled great and Ginny felt her cheeks darken with a blush when the barmaid clearly thought they were together but she didn't correct her. "That'd be nice," she agreed with a smile, digging into her food. "If you aren't ready to pass out by then. That second wind you're on won't last all night."
