There was little to no real sympathy in her friend's features, which Ginny could whole-heartedly understand given her own time with the overwhelming Baba's since becoming involved with Viktor Krum. Ginny had come to terms with the whole 'my best friend is marrying the world's greatest Qudditch player' bit a while ago, so that sort of breezed past her thoughts.

"Determined? I think of my mum as being determined. These women would give mum a run for her money on match-making. Now that I think of it, I should keep my mum away from them. Far away," Ginny laughed with a wry grin. She didn't mind the attention overmuch. Her own prospects for romance were in short supply, not that she hadn't had her share of male attention. Dates since coming to the new world had just given her more a sense of what she was looking for and not sure of what exactly she wanted anymore.

"Emotional ballast. Yeah, I can't quite picture you fleeing the ceremony in a panic, love. Keeping you company, I can do quite right. His best man? You mean that tall, dark, gorgeous Keeper for the Vultures? Oh, twist my arm," she teased, laughing happily. It was so good to see Alicia so happy, so content. She was beautiful, radiant. Holding out her hand, Ginny smiled when Alicia placed the box in her palm. She opened it carefully, taking out the big, gold ring and slipping it on her thumb. It was still a bit big but wasn't going to fly off. "This is fine, love. I won't let anything happen to it. What else can I help with? Are you ready for the Baba's to do your hair?"
