Alicia groaned in perfect content; Viktor’s strong fingers on her scalp felt absolutely amazing, and for a few moments that was all she needed. “Do you know which parties I’ve enjoyed the most?” she asked him, enjoying his fingers for just another beat before she opened her eyes to look at him. “The ones we’ve had here, where everybody just shows up bringing their table and chairs and dinners. You know, like the first times you brought me to meet your friends here. Everybody was so… I don’t know,” her eyes sparkled as she recalled those first evening she had spent with the Bulgarians. “So loud and vibrant and alive, and I can’t imagine a better way to celebrate.”
Combing her fingers through his hair, she urged him to lean back just enough to rinse the shampoo out of his short hair. Her hands came to rest on his chest, her fingers caressing like she had done back in bed. “My dress has been ready for a while, Ginny’s too, and my mum’s. You have your suit, and aside from the food, all we really need is the flowers and a Minister.” Looking up at him, she still found it hard to believe that she was planning a wedding with this wonderful man. “We’ll send out an announcement to our friends, or make a public announcement, if you’d like. There are plenty of people who’s offered to help with the flowers, and if the Minister can’t do it next weekend, I’m sure Kingsley would be happy to do it for us.”
She grew quiet, but there was still a soft smile playing on her lips. “You and me and the people we care about and love,” she said, gently tapping his chest to emphasize every part of what she was saying, “that’s all we need to celebrate, and I can’t think of anything that would make me happier than that.”
