Getting the day off from the Ark wasn't a problem. Getting the time off from Quidditch practice was quite another thing, something that Viktor hadn't thought about in the past, but it was something that stood out as ridiculous now that he was planning and striving toward having a family. His teammates were understanding, it was the League committee who were mentally stuck in 2002. It was just another consideration that he was going to have to decide upon soon - whether or not he was going to lead his team and the other groups to move in the way that would dissolve the current League committee.

His only priority right now was getting flowers for Alicia and pick up the baklava for desert later. Viktor had showered and changed into black trousers and a white button down shirt before apparating home where Alicia was waiting after her afternoon with her mother so Viktor expected she would be either very happy or troubled. Naturely, he hoped for the better of the two. He wouldn't profess to understand what had happened with her mother but Viktor had made every effort to be warm and welcoming to the woman.

"Alicia? Are you home?" he called out, holding the bundle of flowers tomthe side in case she came forward for a hug as she sometimes did. Other times, it wasn't a hug that they got carried away with by the front door.

It had been early afternoon before Alicia had left her mum’s place. Although they had made what she considered major progress towards normalcy, things were still just slightly off, though she couldn’t quite put her finger on what exactly made it so. One thing was clear, though; her mum was slowly, but steadily, on her way to thriving. Already she seemed more at ease than Alicia had seen her since her dad and brother had been killed, and she had pointed out the very same reason that Alicia and Ginny had talked about shortly after they had arrived here; the fact that there were no reminders here like there had been back in their old world.

Not knowing what Viktor had planned, she had slipped into the shower when she had arrived home, figuring that if they were going out, she wanted to get the sticky warmth of the day washed off. She was just combing through her wet hair when she heard Viktor’s voice. Instantly a bright smile spread on her face. She could feel her heart beat faster and a delicious tickling in her stomach; Viktor was home, and she hadn’t seen him since breakfast.

“I’m home!” she called back to him. Wrapping a towel around her, she left the bathroom, heading towards the door where she had heard him come in. She had only left the bathroom when she saw him, and unconsciously she rose up on her toes as she walked towards him, ready to meet him with the kiss she’d been missing since she had last seen him. “Hey, baby,” she grinned up at him, her eyes sparkling with delight that he was home as she wrapped her arms around his neck. “Welcome home.”
