Lily had been in this new world for a little over a week. The first few days were spent in Sirius' house and venturing to her new home to rearrange and make it her own. She had spent last night in her own home, which was weird. It was even more quiet than at Sirius'. While she did well during the day, she felt the loneliest at night. She missed James and the baby. 'What were they doing now?' she wondered. According to Kingsley, she was still there so they couldn't miss her. It didn't stop it the other way though.
She had opted for transforming her old robes; and was now wearing a shirt she had actually made for James the prior year for his birthday. It was a T-Shirt with the Falmouth Falcons quidditch logo(circa 1979)on the front of it. It was a kind little reminder for her. Thankfully, she had been wearing jeans when brought here.
But now, in the early afternoon, she had decided to go exploring to some lesser greater extent. She was currently wandering about the Settlement, occasionally waving to folks - of whom she had no idea who they were - stopping to talk with those who knew her from years ago. The surprise was evident on both parties' faces upon recognition.
Sirius had told her about the different places in the settlements but now she wanted to find out about them for herself.
The marketplace had seemed like a good place to start. Maybe she would find more people she had known. She had yet to see Professor McGonagall but knew that she would in due time. She wandered over to the first booth and browsed; she still didn't understand currency and didn't really want anything... except perhaps some books.
