My third full day here, now. I've already met a few of the new locals - the Healer Weasley from St. Mungo's is here, of course, and my neighbor is a young witch named Lavender, I don't recall her from Hogwarts, though. Otherwise I've already seen what there is to see of the place, well, the settled place here at One at least.

Oh yes, One. That's what people seem to have settled on calling our area - Settlement 1 - as opposed to Two and Three, which I haven't visited yet, but will hopefully soon. I've already started to catalog the local foliage, finished my yard yesterday as far as I can tell. The temperate environment here is ideal for growing, and I've been seeing plants I never could have imagined in Britain, even with magic to aid me. Just in my own front yard I found bulbs, bright orange and looking as if they'll bloom in a few weeks' time, dripping some strange liquid from their center already though. There are only two of them, and their small, but gorgeous and fragrant and I desperately want to see what the potential healing or foodstuff properties of the liquid is, in particular, but I'll have to wait until things get more settled. In the mean I'll simply make sure they don't get disturbed.

I haven't had the time yet to settle in my potions equipment but I've set aside the second bedroom for the work, and already gotten out all of my father's books and my own to begin adding to them. I don't know how useful they'll be here, with difference climates and ingredients available, but I couldn't leave them, I suppose. Potion making is the one tradition our family never threw out, never sold, no matter how much trouble it's gotten us into over the years, I couldn't let that history go with my parents and Sera.

Not that I want to think about that.

Right, I should be going, it's nearly evening and I want to get my 6 hours in looking for night blooms and the like before it's 3 o'clock in the morning.

Weasley -
I was hoping you might take me up on my offer for dinner this weekend? (Are they even considered weekends here? I wonder.) You mentioned the rest of your family isn't en route just yet, but your brother (Charlie, is it?) is more the welcome of course. My information is attached, let me know if you'd like to stop by tomorrow.
- Pucey
