Lisa had used magic to paste hearts all over the pub. She dressed herself up in a killer red wrap dress and told herself she would not mope about yet another Valentine's single. She had only had one Valentine's date ever, when she was in 6th year, and Jonathan had bought her chocolates. They split up about a month later, when it became obvious there were more important things than making out between classes and the occasional Hogsmeade date. They'd split amicably, but that didn't help her when she felt lonely years later.

But that was alright, she told herself again as she floated even more hearts and red ribbons around the room before the lunch crowd would arrive. It was Valentine's, a day to show those you care for exactly how you feel. This morning she'd sent a note via Pad to her parents wishing them a happy holiday and told them that if they wanted to join her at the pub for her dinner break, the evening out was on her. It wasn't the most romantic way to spend the holiday, but she hadn't spent much time with them lately and what better excuse than a holiday all about love, right?

Now that the place was ready, she checked on her usual lunch menu, stew simmering in the large pot in the back and roast beef sandwiches and various American style pizzas in the oven. She was careful not to ruin her dress on the hot equipment or by spilling anything, and she only hoped she could get through the night without any burns or spills. She really loved this dress and after wearing curve hugging denims a low-cut black camisole nearly every single day since they'd opened World's End, she felt particularly snazzy and didn't want anything to douse the feeling. Settling in behind the bar, she waited for the usual lunch patrons to arrived and jotted down ideas for the Valentine's dinner menu later in the day.
