Dempster was off duty for the afternoon, and glad for it as he'd hoped to see the dragons coming in to eat at the Ark's afternoon tour. He wore a t-shirt and cargo shorts, with hiking boots just in case, and made his way to the Ark just before four o'clock to meet with Charlie Weasley.

Coming into the Ark always felt good to Dempster. He wasn't the most outdoorsy wizard, but he was a self-proclaimed nerd and loved learning new things, especially about the new world they all now inhabited, and an opportunity like this was one that got him out of his academic shell. Something about being somewhere he wouldn't normally be, seeing things he wouldn't see in his everyday, it felt invigorating.

And so with an extra bounce in his step, he waved at a familiar red head of hair coming over to the Ark entrance and smiled wide. This was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, even in his heat, and as the sun shone down on him, he felt the power and majesty of this new place and felt maybe everything truly happened for a reason.

Charlie strode up the path from the nesting area, his t-shirt in one hand, checking the time on his wrist watch as he neared the Ark gates but he hadn't needed to. There was Dempster, right on time.

He lifted a hand and smiled, tossing his t-shirt over one shoulder. "Hey man, good to see you," Charlie greeted him, holding his hand out to shake. "I was just down but the girls, they're in a great mood today."

"You want to grab a canteen before we go?" he asked, thumbing toward the Ark Center.

"We'll be catching up to the tour. They left about ten minutes ago so they'll be heading up the mountain to see the Crups and Kneazles. I told them to go on ahead," Charlie explained, holding the door for Dempster then following him inside. He nodded to one of the staff and they crossed to one of the wall cabinets.

While he waited for the canteens, Charlie chuckled. "You know the difference, mate. You know the difference. Happy dragons don't generally try to eat you." He took one of the canteens brought over and slung it over his shoulder, waiting for Dempster to do the same before leading the way back out. "Speaking, of that's our first stop, then we can apparate to catch up with the tour."
